Practice .. Practice ..

It's been a while since the last time I wrote something. We've been through a lot of ups and downs. But it's all better now. In the last couple of months I've been practicing more and more in sketching which is always a fun thing to do for me. I got a lot better but I'm still aiming for more. Having a lot of encouragements, which I love, keeps me motivated big time! I still wish I can go back to painting and evolve there as well and I still wish I can paint with a group of artist. However, I don't have enough space for that in the mean time. As shown below, you can see the difference between how I sketch now and how used to sketch last year.

Nowadays I'm planning to remodel a kindergarten class using the same method I used couple of years ago which is by using colored papers.. The classroom teacher wants the theme to be about transportation. I'm looking forward to start working in decorating her class.. Hope it turns out as she expects.. Will keep you posted..

Back in Qatar

I'm back once more. Been to Spain but unfortunatly couldn't make it to art muesums that included Dali and Piccaso. I can't find time to sketch nowadays. A lot of things have happened since I came back. Some of which are unfortunate but we are all hoping for the best.

 

My cusin is suffering from cancer. She is not yet treated till she becomes strong enough for the treatments required. We are all with her, praying for her, talking to her, and truely believe that she will be herself again and much better Inshallah.

 

Wish you include her in your prayers..

Back in Sheffield

Hi again,

Gave my uncle the gift and he looooved it! Here is how framed & rapped it

wish I could've capture the moment. I'm back in Sheffield now. Have a lot to do these days. It's super cold and it's more likely to snow tomorrow.. We may not stay for long though as we are going to move back to Qatar "not sure when"..

Can't wait to work on more and more sketches

Eid Gift ♡

I'm done with a chapter. Have a long way to go but I'm really excited. I'm now in Khobar, KSA where I'm reunited with my family ♡ 5 days ahead & I'll go back to Doha, Qatar inshallah. Yesterday I finished a sketch of my uncle and I'll have it framed and rapped this week to give it to him in Eid. Hope he likes it ♡

Writing a book

Due to the huge amount of free time that I'm having, some people suggested that I should write a book on sketching techniques for beginners since the ones that I'm doing now are really helpful. I've been getting a lot of feedback on this matters and now I'm really excited about it to be honest ^^ I'm glad that I'm doing something useful and not wasting my time here ^^

Sketching

I'm really into sketching these days. It's really helpful in developing my sense in details which will be a big help later on. I miss painting of course but I don't feel I'll be comfortable painting in my apartment. I got used to the habit of having a space for that & someone over.  (really miss that). Hope I go home soon. I miss my family

Art class didn't work for me !

After finally finding an art class, I was so thrilled and excited to learn more about dealing with oils and painting with others. But the art course I was supposed to be one, does not teach that ! and it's only 2 hours! and have 2 classes in one whole month!!!!!

So, back to my corner
